I wonder how the OP is doing with sleep and hair. I stumbled upon this topic while searching for information about vitamin D and insomnia. I've also had a mishap with this, only even more unfortunate, in my opinion. For 7 years now, I've been suffering from a puzzling and torturous insomnia: 3-4 nights I sleep normally, then 1-2 days completely without sleep. It doesn't seem so terrible from the outside, but it's very exhausting, after 1-2 sleepless nights the condition is terrible - both physically and externally. A couple of times I didn't sleep for three days - that state was pure torture. And it's not about nerves. Even when there's no stress, this terrible cycle works like clockwork. I've seen all sorts of specialists, except a psychiatrist. I feel he'll be next: the endocrinologist expressed confidence that my insomnia is due to a vitamin D deficiency... The trouble is, I've already tried taking it before and the insomnia was even worse. What's my point? Just that the OP of this topic is right. Synthesised Vitamin D clearly has a negative impact on sleep. I agree that not everyone has this side effect, but it definitely exists. What a pity, such a pity.
