Do you remember the very moment you decided to go ahead with treatment?

Having two children had left me slightly insecure about my body. After all, I am someone who has to be on stage acting, sometimes dancing and in various costumes (some very slinky or skin tight!) and so want to look my best.

I tried on one particular costume for a new play and realised I needed some help!

What were your problem areas?

I eat healthily, and train as well, but there was always just this stubborn little area on my tummy that would not shift – no matter how hard I trained.

Then, with my second child I had a Caesarian section so that also had an impact on my lower stomach.

I was interested to see what could be done non-invasively to help, so I started doing some research.

Happy with the results?

Absolutely thrilled.

What was it about the Harley Street Skin Clinic that took your fancy?

I’ve been treated by Lesley and Dr Khan before. All of those late night theatre shows started taking their toll, so I came by to see what they would suggest for puffy eyes. The results were incredible.

I loved their professionalism and honest, down-to-earth advice – on both occasions. I came to Harley Street Skin to ask for their professional opinion about my stomach so, of course, when they suggested BodyTite, I trusted it would deliver.

Can you tell us a little bit about the procedure day?

It was so simple and stress-free; I was finished in just over half an hour and able to go home soon after.

I didn’t need to be put to sleep, as it was a walk in walk out procedure. My tummy area was anesthetized so I didn’t feel anything, just a sort of tugging sensation as a small cannula was inserted just under the skin, but it wasn’t uncomfortable or painful at any stage.

I was a little nervous beforehand as I hadn’t experienced anything like this before but, to be honest; I needn’t have worried as Dr Khan was very reassuring throughout the process.

Have there been any perks that you weren't expecting?

Yes, the skin on my stomach is now much tighter and firmer than it was before. I was only actually expecting to see a change in the bulging, but the whole process has really helped tone my stomach as well as remove those little pockets.

What would you tell people that were on the fence about taking a similar route?

Well, I know that I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I would probably say that it’s important that you do try to lose a bit of weight first. BodyTite was perfect for the concerns that I voiced, but I’d imagine it’s not going to help much with generalised weight loss. Then again, it’s often those last few inches that make all the difference!

BodyTite is perfect for those stubborn pockets or bulges that won’t budge despite dieting and exercise, so it was exactly what I was looking for, but maybe if you were looking for something more drastic it wouldn’t do the trick.

Whatever it is, though – talk to Lesley or Dr Khan. They managed to find a solution aimed at my exact problem areas, so no doubt they’d be equally insightful with regards to yours.
