We’re fortunate to have worked with many faces in our time – including a few you might recognise. We wanted to check in with some of our favourites to hear all about their Harley Street Skin experiences. That way, you’re able to approach your own personal journey with a little bit more confidence. How does that sound?
Here’s what stage and screen star, La Voix, had to say about undergoing a Thread Lift with our very own Dr Khan…
I was looking at some press photographs from a show last year, the dress was flawless, the hair, the make up… yet I had no chin – all jowls. Seriously, I was useless at trying to fold sheets. I hadn’t realised how my jaw definition had gone and this is hard to say but… I had a double chin. I thought ‘that has to go’.
For me, it was the jawline and the jowls thing which I was concerned about, so the thought of having that definition back – or better than it ever was – that was a no brainer. I didn’t ever think of a facelift connected to bone structure, I just thought of it as older women having sagging skin cranked up. When Dr Khan said ‘well we can do this, and it’s threads, and it’s quick’, I was like ‘Okay great! I’m free now!’
Dr Khan is so thorough and explains things so simply and easily, and also has the best beautiful home-from-home clinic you’ve seen. When you sit down he goes ‘well we can do X, Y, Z, and that’ll give you THIS.’
For me, there was no time thinking ‘hmmm’. It was like picking gowns, when you know it’s right, you know it’s right. There was a little bit of time thinking ‘Am I too young to have this done?’ but then some friends said ‘No you’re not.’ (laughs) I was like, ‘Oh, thanks!’…they’re not friends anymore.
It was wonderful, and let me tell you something, I can understand why they call it the ‘lunchtime facelift’. It was that quick and there was no pain at all. I do remember not being able to say certain words or consonants ’cause my mouth was all numb, but I could do a fabulous Shirley Bassey impression. It’s a shame that wore off, actually.
Afterwards, I was treated to a nice sugary cup of tea (with a saucer!), hailed a cab and was on my merry way. Seriously. Back to normality that quickly.
I’ve never been able to wear necklaces without them being lost in the jowls when I sing. So Dr Khan has made me a woman who can shop beyond just earrings and bracelets. I might even go shopping after our chat and try on neck scarves and diamond chokers down Bond Street just because I can – I finally have a jawline and neck!
Oh absolutely – I’m already booked in, darling! And you will definitely see me approaching Panto season – I do it every year so I’m afraid you’ll probably be seeing quite a lot more of me! When you start doing your makeup and think ‘ooh that doesn’t look quite as good as it used to,’ it’s time for a car straight to Harley Street!
