MD

Since 2004, Harley Street Skin has been on speed dial to some of the world’s highest flyers thanks to the expertise of cosmetic tour de force.

What inspired you to pursue a career in medicine?

Both my parents were in the medical field. My father was a professor in medical academia, and my mother was a dental surgeon and orthodontist. Growing up in a medical environment, I was always surrounded by discussions about patients, medicine, and procedures. This inspired me to follow a career in medicine.

Can you share your educational journey?

I completed my medical degree at the Medical Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria. I initially pursued a career in plastic and reconstructive surgery before moving to the UK. After recognizing my diploma and passing the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) exam, I continued my surgical training at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital in London.

What attracted you to the field of surgery?

I have always enjoyed working in the operating room. Surgery is rewarding because it allows me to change lives—whether by fixing a broken limb, treating trauma patients, or performing reconstructive procedures. I was also fascinated by the combination of functional and aesthetic outcomes in reconstructive surgery.

How long have you been practicing medicine?

I qualified in 1993, which means I have been practicing medicine for over 31 years.

Have you pursued any additional certifications or specialized training?

Yes, apart from my MRCS qualification, I pursued a Procedure Proficiency Program (PPP) in body contouring in the United States. This training focused on gender-affirming body transformations, helping individuals align their physical appearance with their identity.

Are you a member of any professional medical organizations?

Yes, I am a member of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine, the British Association of Cosmetic Surgeons, and the Aesthetic Complication Expert Group. I also served as the past president of the British Association of Body Sculpting.

What is your current medical specialty and why did you choose it?

My specialty is cosmetic surgery and medicine. I have always been passionate about art, and I see cosmetic surgery as a perfect blend of science and artistry. My goal is to help people become the best versions of themselves while maintaining natural and harmonious aesthetics.

What are the most common conditions or cases you handle?

I specialize in facial rejuvenation, beautification procedures, body contouring, and female genital procedures. Some of my most common treatments include jawline definition, blepharoplasty, thread lifts, face and neck tightening, and body sculpting.

How do you stay updated with the latest advancements in your field?

I attend professional conferences, participate in monthly journal discussions, and teach cosmetic medicine to doctors and surgeons. I am always researching new techniques and trends to ensure I provide the best possible outcomes for my patients.

Do you have any other interests that help with your profession?

Yes, I play the accordion, which helps me maintain manual dexterity—a crucial skill for surgery. I also keep an eye on aesthetic trends to ensure I provide personalized treatments rather than following a template approach.

What is your philosophy in cosmetic medicine?

My philosophy is not just about making people look younger but helping them become a better version of themselves. Each patient is unique, and my goal is to enhance their natural beauty while ensuring they feel confident and happy with their appearance.

How can patients contact you for a consultation?

Patients can reach out to our practice to schedule a consultation. We are here to guide them through their aesthetic journey and help them achieve their desired results.

Committed to giving you the very best service, care and attention.
