Post-Thread Rhinoplasty Swelling and Burning Sensation Duration?

Hello everyone! Yesterday, I had a thread rhinoplasty, my face changed, I feel like my nasolabial folds have lifted upwards with the thread and it looks worse. Also, it's swollen to half of my face, I'm walking around in a pitiful state. For those who've had it done, how long did your swelling last and did your nose burn, the burning sensation even reaches my eyes... How was your overall rehabilitation period?

Rhinoplasty Success with Chronic Upper Respiratory Issues?

Rhinoplasty is contraindicated for acute and chronic upper respiratory tract diseases. I often have a cold. Is it possible to fully recover from chronic rhinitis? Are there any here who have recovered and successfully had rhinoplasty? Of course, I understand that I need to see an ENT specialist, which I am planning to do, but I would like to know if there were any problems with the nose for those who had rhinoplasty, whether it was possible to cure it and how successful the operation turned out to be.

Teenager Seeks Advice on Rhinoplasty Due to Bullying

I'm 17 years old, and for 5 years I've been dreaming of getting a rhinoplasty, but after I found out THERE CAN BE SAD consequences, I got a bit scared! My nose is Greek... but a bit crooked, meaning the tip of my nose points to the right, LONG, a bump on one side is deep, and on the other side, it's small, barely noticeable! My nose was NEVER broken.. my parents have perfect noses! I can't understand why mine is like this! So, I want to fix it... because I'm very SELF-CONSCIOUS about it. At school, many people BULLIED me because of my nose! I want to go to university with a new nose and confidence in myself. So, those who have had a rhinoplasty.. or know people who have, tell me... were there any unsuccessful results?

Post-Rhinoseptoplasty Swelling and Numbness: How Long Will It Last?

Hello! I had a closed rhinoseptoplasty with vasotomy a month and a half ago. I had a large nose with a hump. Now there's very strong swelling, the nose seems large, but without the hump. And the shape is unclear, there's asymmetry. There are areas of numbness, the nose itself is hard, especially the tip. How long will this last? Maybe try phonophoresis? Does it help? The bone might be swollen, as the nose from the side still seems just as large (the bone itself is the septum) and I don't understand if this is swelling or not, as by touch I feel the bone.

Does Nose Size Really Define Facial Attractiveness?

I'm not talking about real bruisers who can indeed mess up a face, but usually, other facial features aren't great either. But why is it that if a nose is even slightly wide or long, it's already considered unattractive and "rhinoplasty wouldn't go amiss"? From what I've noticed, almost all celebrities have good, small noses, either naturally or surgically altered, does the nose really make that much of a difference even with other nondescript facial features? And if the face is beautiful, but the nose doesn't fit the ideal, can such a face be called at most pretty? My own example - I'm quite cute, definitely not ugly, relatives sometimes say: "if your nose was narrower, you'd be very pretty, but as it is..." I don't have money for plastic surgery, but I'm curious, is the nose really the deciding factor in facial beauty?

Post-Rhinoplasty Concerns: Unfavorable Changes and Anxiety

Good evening to all! Can anyone calm me down, as I'm beside myself. In short, a month ago I had a rhinoplasty, they said that closer to the month the nose will be more or less normal, it will take shape, the swelling will subside, but mine has only gotten worse. Not only is the bridge of my nose wide, but the tip is also raised upwards, plus it's as round as a tennis ball. My facial features are sharp and I look like Pumuckl from the cartoon, this nose doesn't suit me. I'm beside myself, thinking about quitting my job altogether. I'm seeing the doctor on Monday, but I'm sure he won't say anything other than to wait, but judging by the results of everyone's work, hardly anyone's nose changes significantly in six months🤕and in a year either.

Seeking Advice for Rhinoplasty: Indications and Recommendations?

I've got a nose with a little bump, wouldn't say it's massive, but of course, I'd prefer it to be neat and straight. However, I just can't bring myself to decide on rhinoplasty. So, I'm looking for reasons, or rather, what could be the indications for this type of plastic surgery? So that the doctor would specifically recommend this operation. Anyone in the know, I'm waiting for advice 😆.

Struggling with Self-Image due to Unflattering ID Photo

I have a nose with a hump, and it's also like a potato, with wide nostrils. I've been working on accepting my appearance, any of my flaws, for a long time. I like myself in the mirror, I like myself in photos that friends take, I like myself in selfies. So, you would think, what complexes? But I have this unfortunate ID photo that I hate with all my heart and can't forget. I look simply disgusting there: a huge nose, small eyes, thin eyebrows and lips. I can't even look at myself, I feel nauseous. This is the main reason for my complexes and tears into the pillow at night. I really want to look at myself from the side, evaluate my appearance and understand: do I still like myself or not, should I get a rhinoplasty? But for some reason, I think that the people around me see me as I turned out in the ID photo. This thought makes me shudder. I start to completely close myself off. I start to think that people communicate with me out of pity and struggle to look at my terrible appearance. I think that everyone around sees me as a scary orc, they don't want to contact me because of this. Please tell me, have you encountered a similar problem? How did you manage to solve it?

Will Surgeon Perform Rhinoplasty at Age 20?

Since I was 12, I've dreamt of getting a rhinoplasty because I think my nose is too wide, plus I have a droopy tip and a deviated septum. I found a good plastic surgeon in my town and went for a consultation when I was 17. He told me then that they don't do such operations until you're 21 and that I should come back after I've celebrated my twentieth birthday... And so, in June this year, I turned 20. I'm planning to go for another consultation with the same doctor. Can anyone with experience in this matter tell me, will the surgeon agree to do a rhinoplasty when I'm 20 or will he tell me to wait until next year? Has anyone had the operation at this age?
