Mole Removal

Should I Remove This Flat Mole?

I have a flat mole, 1cm in diameter. On my leg. Since birth, it's been with me all my life. I've seen a doctor who said that I should get rid of it within six months because it's not a clear shape and the colour is mixed, black with brown. There's nothing to worry about yet, no need to rush and remove it tomorrow, but it's unknown how it will behave in the future. Of course, there will be a histology and everything will be revealed there. But I'm in a quandary, whether to remove it or not, what if something goes wrong after the removal?? P.S. And after sunbathing, I get covered in small moles.

Well then, remove it. What's the problem? Remove it surgically, then there will be a long, narrow scar. Or remove it with a Surgitron, then there will be a white spot. A histology can be done in both cases. No mole - no risk of transformation.

After removal, nothing can go wrong. If there are cancerous cells, the sooner you remove them, the better. If something is found, they will perform a second, deeper excision. Don't worry about the scars, better a scar than health problems. Sunbathing is not allowed for the first 2 months, for this reason, if the mole is in an exposed place, they do not recommend removal in the summer. My husband and I had moles removed, but they were just in the way. We had them removed with a Surgitron, you can't see at all where my mole was, my husband's was larger, 1 cm in diameter, he has a white scar left. My sister had hers removed with a scalpel, it was the same size as my husband's, but she has a large, hard scar left, i.e. when removing with a scalpel, they didn't tell you the truth here, that only a thin scar will remain. There will be a spot the size of your mole. If there are suspicions of cancer, it is better to remove with a scalpel, the Surgitron burns part of the material, so not everything will go for histology. First, have a dermatoscopy done by an oncologist-dermatologist.

If such is your reaction to the sun, then good protection is needed, even if you're not specifically sunbathing. There's a special sun cream against pigmentation spots called Bronzeada. It has SPF50. It's just the thing for your small freckles after sun exposure!
