Should I Get Rhinoplasty After 6 Years?

When I was about 15, I broke my nose. Broke it so badly that I didn't even realise at first. I had a straight nose, but it became slightly turned to the left, barely noticeable. It also became a bit uneven. Well, I just shrugged it off 😊 Today, I bumped my nose against the coffee maker, it was fine, just a bruise, but approaching the mirror with thoughts about my nose, I looked at myself differently. Over 6 years, I've become so accustomed to my appearance that I didn't notice it was spoiling the whole picture (not a big deal, but still). I immediately remembered how my mum was upset seeing me at 15, already with a broken nose and for almost a month suggested I get rhinoplasty. I asked a friend, I've known her since childhood, she said she can't even remember what I looked like before the break, she's used to it too 😊 Unfortunately, I can't post a photo. I'm genuinely scared to have the operation. I'm afraid of the operation itself, I'm afraid of a bad result. There's no one else to ask for advice. Overall, I'm ordinary, not a beauty, but not ***. Should I have the operation in pursuit of perfection, so to speak, or should I just spit it out, adjust my brain and move on? Please advise.

I've got a deviated septum, but I've no plans to straighten it out. You should only have surgery when your nose can't breathe at all, or if some inflammation has started, otherwise... inflicting injuries upon oneself (when they're not needed) - no thank you, if you please.

Predictably, everyone here will say that, of course, it's not necessary, looks aren't everything and so on. Nonsense! "Used to myself" doesn't mean it's beautiful and doesn't spoil. A broken nose can't not spoil a face! Especially, if it's not too small. I reckon, you should get a rhino, to make your face symmetrical, and the nose prettier, it doesn't mean changing its natural shape, but restoring it as it should be, and then, maybe, you're naturally a beauty, not "nothing special".

I think, one should get a rhino, to make the face symmetrical, and the nose prettier, it doesn't mean changing its natural shape, but restoring it as it should be, and then, maybe, you are naturally a beauty, not "nothing special"[/quote] That's correct of course, but I repeat again - my deviation occurred AFTER rhinoplasty (although the nose itself after rhino is generally okay - a kind of French one). So one should be prepared that rhino might not give 100% of the desired result and it's not a panacea for all nose troubles.

It depends on how severe the deviation is. I'm in favour because I've been through it myself, but in my case, I needed to have the surgery at 15, not 25, because my bones had formed unevenly. I had surgery and correction, and of course, it's not perfectly straight, but it's a million times straighter than it was. So, you just need to tackle this issue, find a good surgeon who inspires trust and takes responsibility for what they do, and go for it! πŸ˜† Your nose is already crooked, what have you got to lose?

It can only warp if they left the partition crooked and didn't touch it. And slightly asymmetrical nostrils are nothing compared to a crooked nose, although it depends on what kind of distortion the OP has, maybe there's nothing to discuss at all. Mine was just heavily shifted to the right to such an extent that if you imagine an isosceles triangle and shift one side to a right angle and leave the other, you get my broken nose😒 After the first rhino, I didn't do a repeat but a correction, and you can't see my operation at all. If everything is done tastefully and with the maximum preservation of the shape given by nature. The OP doesn't even need to touch the nostrils, the back, the tip, just straighten the bone and the partition😊

Yes, under anaesthesia and with a plaster cast as usual, the thing is, the duration of the operation is shorter and after just 10 days there's hardly any swelling on the nose. As a rule, if the first operation is done well, you just have to correct some aspects, although I could have avoided doing this, but since I started, I decided to see it through to the end, which I'm very glad about. And why did the nose start to twist? Was it narrowed?

Yes, perhaps you're right 😊 Maybe I should calm down and live as before, damn coffee maker! 😊 If it hadn't broken, I probably wouldn't have been bothered by this question at all 😊 Seems like, I'm really "going mad from luxury". I've read the comments, if there's a high chance that the nose will get worse, probably it's not worth it at all. Thanks a lot to everyone! As for you, a massive thank you!!! 😊

People wrote that my nose is crooked, well, bent to the right. In reality, it seems straight. Should I have surgery? They didn't tell me, they said it's all because of the blood vessels, they will be strengthened. But the septum-nothing. So, what should I do? Visually, the nose is straight.
