Seeking Advice on Unsuccessful Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty

Hello... Has anyone had an unsuccessful upper eyelid blepharoplasty, could you share how you solved this problem? Did you have it redone and what was the outcome? I've found myself in such a situation. Depression. I'm really scared that nothing can be done and I'll have to live with uneven eyes..☹️

Ladies, thank you for your responses. Three months have passed. The situation isn't changing. The surgeon isn't very communicative, understandably so. Both incisions are above the creases, double creases visible on the eyes. One eyelid is significantly higher than the other. I have semi-Eastern eyes, there were my own eyelids and sagging skin. I can't understand how he messed up... I'm not a surgeon, but the work is illiterate and it's unknown whether I can be corrected. Yes. I'm looking for a surgeon who could somehow bring my eyes to a common denominator. I can't look at myself in the mirror. Terrible depression. Not all surgeons take on revisions, it's risky. There's very little, practically no information on who offers services specifically for correcting unsuccessful blepharo results.

Hello everyone! I had an upper eyelid surgery (UE) 7 days ago. The stitches themselves are bothering me - on the left eye, it's perfectly straight and almost unnoticeable, but on the right, it's rougher and redder. I feel like it's going to stay rough... (has anyone had this experience?

So, I've finally had the blepharoplasty I've been dreaming of! The result - the left eye turned out fine, just a burgundy sclera from the blood that's taking a while to dissipate, but a large fold of excess skin has formed over the stitch on my right upper eyelid, which wasn't there before. What should I do? Is the surgeon obliged to redo my eyelid for me?

Mum's not 45, but 54 years old. She got the numbers mixed up in a hurry. Your swelling will pass anyway! It's inevitable. It doesn't matter what anyone applies to it. Bruises and swelling aren't forever! Write about the final result and don't forget to mention your age.

[quote="Guest" message_id="50444302"]Well, the whole picture is complicated by the fact that he made me new folds, which was not part of the agreement. I signed a contract for upper blepharoplasty, but he ended up doing something like a sangapuri, as it turned out. When I asked why and pointed to my natural folds, he said it was swelling and I didn't really have any folds. I was shocked. Now I have double folds on my eyes. On one eye, the new fold is slightly above the natural one, on the other it's very high (1.1 mm from the lash line!!!) What the OP was trying to say with his work, who knows... I see the solution in correcting one eye. The other one is severely cut back, there's nowhere to manipulate there...☹️ But where to find an experienced surgeon, so as not to make a mistake again and not make it even worse. I understand that I won't reconcile with such a result, and I also don't know how to get out of this situation yet... I'm sorry, have you found a surgeon for a repeat operation, I'm also interested in this topic.

Please advise how you found the strength to redo the botched blepharoplasty. After the circular blepharoplasty, my eyes became cross-eyed and small. I'm in a terrible depression, I can't go anywhere without glasses. Before the operation, I had beautiful eyes, but I wanted to remove age-related changes, rejuvenate my look. The doctor blatantly asserts that my eyes were like this before. I've booked a revision with him, but I'm scared to tears that it might get even worse. I don't want anything, I want my eye incision, my eyes.

A non-classical circular blepharo was performed. Wanted to clarify the lower transconj. Did it without removing excess skin. There are no external incisions. Can't understand whether the removal of transconj hernias could have affected the eye incision or not.

Hello, I had blepharoplasty, the incision on my second eye is crooked, it's been 4 months, I went for a repeat surgery, he removed the skin corner and that's it, I wanted to know, when will the corner heal, will it lift? Or will it remain the same! Just if you lift it with your finger it's even.

On the 3rd of June, I had a circular blepharoplasty, but the swelling under my eyes, like rolls, won't go down. Has anyone else encountered this problem? The doctor says a correction is needed, that the "fat" under the rolls needs to be removed...

I've been living with a botched blepharoplasty for the 4th month now. I've developed panic attacks, sleepless nights and I just can't come to terms with the result, which has aged me by 10 years, instead of rejuvenating me ☹️ My eyes won't close at night, I sleep with an eye mask, pulling the skin from my forehead to shut my eyes. I have teary, tired, dry eyes. My eyes look sad, my eyebrows and the outer corners of my eyes have dropped. Depression and constant tears because of this. Every night is a trial due to my eyes not closing. Aesthetics - ugliness. The stitches are terrible, my eyes are asymmetrical. I consider this the biggest mistake. I just can't come to terms with the ugliness.

Good day. Can you tell me how things are going with you? I've got one eye in a bind, and the other one doesn't fully close either. From the inner corner to the middle of the eye. Constantly drying out, can't go anywhere without drops.. I'm going for ultrasound, they try to stretch my skin during the procedure... A month has passed since the surgery and so far to no avail...

Good evening, everyone. It was me who wrote that I had developed ptosis in one eye and my eyes were asymmetrical, one eyelid higher than the other. I want to tell everyone not to worry prematurely and not to stress themselves out. It's been almost a month now and everything has normalised. So, girls, don't get upset too early, initial conclusions can be drawn no sooner than a month, and final ones only after six months. I wish everyone an easy recovery! If this review of mine can help anyone, I'll be only too happy.

The surgeon removed too much skin after blepharoplasty, eyes are uneven, sunken, they don't fully close😟 I don't know what to do or where to seek help! I had beautiful, large almond-shaped eyes, all gone, even the fat it seems, very high incisions... Eyes are of an incorrect shape now, turned into triangles. The incisions near the bridge of the nose are the highest😟Sad look, just ugliness. I'm suffering. Has anyone had a reconstruction? I need a skin graft. I couldn't find similar cases on the internet. If anyone knows, please advise.

Hello, it will be a year on the 8th of April since the blepharo, my eyes have changed, the eyelids have dropped (but I removed the fixing threads of the eyelids) and they fell well. My eyes have almost become like mine except for the epicanthus (now I understand if I had not done epicanthoplasty everything would have been good) now my eyes are almost 80% like mine, but slightly recessed due to the removal of skin and fat. But many do not notice that I did something. My gaze has become heavier than before because of the epicanthus (removal). I am very glad that they fell, the first 4 months were large eyelids and a prickly gaze, over time it got better, but not like before (after all, they cut off the skin).

Hello. I also had my epicanthus removed, and I immediately lost my appeal and uniqueness. Plus, high folds. They removed a lot of skin. I even started to look older than my age after the blepharo. Total disappointment. You're right about the prickly gaze. It's a pity the epicanthus can't be restored. I want to warn girls with Asian eyelids. After all, not everyone is shown blepharo even if it seems that the skin is sagging.

Asian women are better off not removing their epicanthic folds. If you do decide to, opt for a classic blepharoplasty, and another point, if your eyes are deeply set, it's either not worth doing blepharo at all, or trim everything to a minimum and don't remove the fat, but redistribute it (read about it on the internet), otherwise your eyes will simply appear "sunken".

Hello everyone! I read and accept that I'm not the only one... 10 years ago, I had blepharoplasty, I wanted to correct my narrow slanted eyes, but it turned out worse, my eyes became bigger, but the shape was round, a surprised dull look, plus the doctor did not remove the epicanthus, and it became even more pronounced, so I walked around for many years, thinking that everything was normal with me, and that it couldn't be redone. But a couple of years ago I had a canthoplasty, corrected the epicanthus and my eyes became slanted again! Now I really regret that I didn't do this earlier... I walked around looking ugly for so many years...

Forum members, could you please advise, has anyone undergone lipofilling of the upper eyelids after unsuccessful blepharoplasty? What were the results? Visually, is it possible to reduce the folds and restore volume? What are the risks and how can it be corrected if the fat takes hold excessively?

Be more careful with the lower ones. I've read that the skin on the lower eyelids is thin and if lipofilling is not successfully performed, it will contour as lumps or rolls. Here you need to find a doctor very carefully and with a lot of experience. I haven't found a doctor yet to correct the upper eyelids. And it's a bit scary too.
