It depends on the method used to remove the mole. I also have scars left after the excision of some moles - it's called a keloid scar. Some people find Contractubex cream helpful, but only if you start applying it to a fresh scar, it's practically ineffective on an old one. Also, I've heard there are some kind of injections directly into the scar itself, I want to clarify this myself..

Injections are administered into the scar if it starts to "grow" and causes itching and burning. Sometimes fresh scars hurt a lot, I experienced this after getting a tattoo removed. They injected me with a medication, I can't remember the name now. But the injections don't remove the scar, they make it heal faster, stop itching and be less raised. The scars themselves can be removed by laser resurfacing and then you wait for the area to lighten, usually within six months to a year.

Less than a year ago, I had an accident - I skidded a couple of metres on bare hand on the tarmac, the scar should have been massive! As soon as the wound healed, I started applying Contractubex to the scar immediately, rubbing it in about 5 times a day. After a while, the skin started to peel and normal skin with a regular structure appeared, now you can only see the difference in colour, and even that's fading. Now we're treating the scar after the surgery 😂 Highly recommended!!!
