Seeking Advice for Convincing Mum about Rhinoplasty

Hello everyone. I have a rather strange and dumb problem, to put it bluntly. I've long wanted to get a rhino and waited until I was of age, but now, when the time has come, my mum is adamantly against me going under the knife for no reason, with my complexes, as she puts it. I realised that convincing her with the argument "I'm fed up with my huge and wide nose that takes up 24/7 of my face's space" is absolutely impossible. Are there any less severe medical indications, like asymmetry? Or your own experience, because not all parents approve of this, even if you're well past 18...

Good day. I can share my life experience: at 20, I had an otoplasty. I had a ton of complexes, but I had the operation and now I'm living my life quite comfortably. I first brought up the question of surgery when I was about 12. From a very young age, I suffered and worried - other children teased me. Everyone supported me then, saying if you want it - we'll do it, except for my mum. She threw a tantrum, screams, wails... I was so scared of upsetting her that I gave up on the idea of changing myself and continued to be self-conscious for many more years. In short, I wasted a lot of time. Pointlessly. The fact that my mother has the same ears, that we have no relationship, I'll leave out. But my advice to you: you are not your mum and you only have one life. If you don't like your nose - go and change it, if there are no contraindications. Just find a good surgeon. Good luck!

Unfortunately, asymmetry is not an indication. I had a rhino at 18, mum grumbled, of course, but quickly reconciled. What I have as a result - a perfect nose, a life that I didn't even dream of in my spotty-flat-nosed school years, and my relationship with mum didn't get ruined at all. Don't listen to mum, make up your mind!

Here I am, having been dealing with this complex issue for many years, yet I can't bring myself to have the operation😟. I know that my mum will be against it, even though this flaw comes from her. If I decide to do it, I'll just go ahead and then present her with a fait accompli.

I've almost stopped snoring. I've forgotten what a cold is, before this bacteria constantly multiplied in my crooked septum.. a cold, tonsillitis, bronchitis and antibiotics were part of my life. After rhinoplasty, I forgot what that was. Although they didn't make my nose super small and thin. Just a regular size, they straightened the crookedness. It also stopped turning blue in the cold.

I personally had rhinoplasty due to breathing issues. I really needed to have the plastic surgery for health reasons, even though I'm a fierce opponent of surgery, but when it comes to health, I am personally willing to go to any lengths.
