Persistent Facial Breakouts: Allergy or Other Causes?

Hello, ladies! I've been troubled by facial breakouts for over 1.5 years now, and I'm currently 20. Like many, I've seen such doctors as a dermatologist, cosmetologist, endocrinologist, gastroenterologist, and have had ultrasounds of my thyroid, kidneys, and adrenal glands - everything is perfect everywhere. Not a single pathology. Hormones are normal. I had no issues with my face during puberty, I went through that period calmly. But at 19, frequent breakouts started. Peelings don't help, even a competent cosmetologist admitted this. I might have demodex, but I've completed a course of using "Yam" ointment, daily disinfection of bed linen, etc. Also, my family and I moved to a private house exactly 1.5 years ago, besides the fact that this was a major stress for me, we also have 2 dogs and 1 cat in our house. I love the cat very much, but I have allergies to cats, birds, and ragweed. I've adjusted to the cat, I don't sneeze and my nose doesn't run when in contact. Could it be that the cat allergy is reflected in the form of breakouts? The only doctor I haven't seen is an allergist, tell me, is it worth going for an expensive consultation and subsequent tests? Or is the problem obvious? I'll be glad for every answer!

In principle, it could be, after all, allergies don't just affect the mucous membranes, they also cause spots. Just read up more about how it can manifest in a decent reference book. You could try a cream with probiotic agents, they're hypoallergenic, if that doesn't help, then it's off to the allergist. Good luck to you.

Hello! My daughter is 16 years old, psoriasis has appeared, she's suffering with these sores, it's simply awful. Could someone please advise who knows) What's suspicious is this, as soon as we brought a kitten into the house, this neurodermatitis or psoriasis appeared on my daughter (we haven't determined the diagnosis yet), there's no question of giving away the kitten, and no one would take it, he's just a simple black and white cat, but just like a person, understands everything, knows many words, affectionate 😊

Honestly, I don't know. I've had a cat allergy since childhood. It used to manifest as dermatitis, like dry eczema, but never acne. We also moved into a detached house. There are 3 fluffy cats, 2 dogs, plus temporary ones from the street. No rashes. I might sneeze, my eyes water, but it's not critical, and not often. The allergist's test naturally showed an allergy to cats, among a lot of other things. The doctor said to get rid of them. I got rid of the doctor. My husband has asthma and also allergies. We were afraid to get pets. But he quickly developed immunity to his own. And his mother, a severe asthmatic, took in two foundlings. Also without worsening. No one has any rashes. You might be reacting to something in the house. And to some foods. Try to stick to soaked buckwheat for about 5 days. It clears the face. Then add one product a day and watch for a reaction. Another option is to stay with your grandmother or a friend. See if it gets better.

And how are you going to get rid of the doctor, by what method: into asphalt, acid, swamp, or just into soup?🤣 OP, you're peculiar - you thought about demodicosis, which is mainly in dogs, but you didn't think about feline worms and banal cross-infections with humans. If anything - half of the "allergies" are "tied" to a deficiency of ascorbic acid, half of the remaining - to a deficiency of calcium and/or iron.

If you've been diagnosed with a cat allergy, the first thing you need to do is get rid of the allergen. An allergy is a dangerous reaction and mucous membrane swelling, and skin manifestations are just the visible tip of the iceberg. Want to become disabled? Live next to the allergen. Those who care about their health immediately get rid of the allergen.

In your situation, it's hard to say. For now, you can use retinoic ointment for spots, it helps well and there won't be any marks left. But if I were in your shoes, I'd get checked for demodicosis, since you haven't done it yet. And then, if it's not there anymore, I'd go to an allergist.
