Struggling with Post-Rhinoplasty Acceptance

I had a rhinoplasty five weeks ago. I'm quite attractive, well-groomed, married, and have always had plenty of admirers. But my nose was objectively a bit long in profile, without a bump, straight, just the length was unsatisfactory, and from the front, it was simply beautiful. I felt like a beauty until I saw some random profile photos of myself, I always took photos from the front. I tried not to turn my profile to the person I was talking to, avoided mass events where you need to speak and could end up in profile to the interlocutors. Closer to 40, I had the thought to have the operation, as the nose grows with age, I would look like Baba Yaga, and here I would rejuvenate and become prettier. I saw several girls with a wonderful result and decided after three years of thinking. The surgeon was expensive and well-known, I see no point in writing his name here, the task was to make minimal changes to the front, removing the length of the nose and making a small arch, as such a nose shape rejuvenates. I asked for a non-doll-like nose, as close as possible to mine, so that it wouldn't be too noticeable. When the plaster was removed, I almost fainted, my front view had doubled, there was a huge swelling on the bridge of the nose, I didn't eat or sleep for a week. Then it got significantly better, the profile completely changed, I see such a thing for the first time after removing the plaster, that the profile changes so much, the front view narrowed a bit. I went back to work three weeks later, thinner with a new hairstyle, colleagues said that I looked younger and prettier, nobody asked about the nose. To this day, I can't understand my attitude towards the operation. Sometimes I really like it and I'm extremely pleased, sometimes it seems that the front view has become worse, a more massive columella, in my opinion, and the tip of the nose itself, although I understand that it's swelling and the profile is not yet five out of five. There's still a bump in the area of the bridge of the nose. Undoubtedly, it's more beautiful than it was, but it could have been better. I constantly take pictures of myself, think about the operation. The nose still hurts a bit. In the mirror under some lighting everything is perfect, and under another, a stranger's face looks at me. When did you accept yourself after rhino?

Hiding Rhinoplasty From Family: Should I Confess?

Three weeks ago, I had a rhinoplasty. I had been contemplating it for a long time, overall my appearance is attractive, I'm married, have children, my husband loves me. But my nose was always a bit long in profile, the older I got, the more it irritated me. It also added extra age. My husband, of course, was in shock, but I found a good surgeon and convinced him that I would only slightly correct the length of my nose. I won't change the full face view. I took leave from work, sent my mum to the seaside with the youngest child and had the operation. The result is not quite clear to me yet, as there is swelling and indentations, but overall, I haven't changed much in full face view, they also tried to keep the profile as much as possible, but now there's a big swelling on the bridge, the nostrils are different due to the swelling, I have to wait for the final result. Mum, when she saw me for the first time, 17 days after the operation, asked what's with the face, I said that I had injections, so it swelled and is bruised. Then she started looking at me more closely and said that I'm a different person in profile, where did such a bump on the bridge come from. I blamed it all on the injections and said it would go away. We're also experiencing incredible heat, so the swelling is severe. My eldest son, by the way, hasn't noticed anything, he's 19 years old. At least he's silent. I also don't plan to tell anyone at work, just changed my hairstyle, lost 5 kg due to stress and the post-operative period, the bruises have almost gone, I'll cover it up with foundation. I don't understand whether I should continue to deceive my mum or tell her. I know she'll worry a lot about the fact that I've had an operation and in general, changes are hard for people of the older generation to accept.
