Find out how Gaynor got on with her course of Facials at The Harley Street Skin Clinic
We're fortunate to have worked with many faces in our time - including a few you might recognise. We wanted to check in with some of our favourites to hear all about their Harley Street Skin experiences. That way, you're able to approach your own personal journey with a little bit more confidence. How does that sound?
Here's what the delightful Gaynor Faye, actress come screenwriter, had to say about her trips to The Harley Street Skin Clinic...
I remember someone sending me a photo of me on telly a few years ago and I was quite shocked to see how much of the natural collagen in my cheeks had just vanished. Where did it go?!
I think it's always hard seeing yourself as you grow older; I've got to take care of my face with it being on screen! [laughs]
It was more of a case of maintenance and anti-ageing for me, but I’ve always been an advocate for the natural look so I'm more about skin health than all the other bits and pieces.
The great thing now, though, is that you can do all that with skincare. Plumping, tightening - you name it. It's brilliant.
I come in for facials whenever I get the chance.
Always. Having treatment at Harley Street Skin has become such a normal part of my routine.
I used to read Lesley's columns, actually.
I would hear the name 'Harley Street Skin' come up quite a bit, so I did a bit of research and discovered that they were really well known for their non-invasive beauty solutions, which was exactly what I was interested in.
I decided to give it a whirl, so met with Lesley for a consultation. The rest is history as they say.
Which one? I've been a few times. [laughs]
It's always a really relaxing experience. I'll have a cup of tea if I can - Yorkshire of course - then when I have treatment I just try to switch off.
It's lovely because I usually function at 100 miles an hour. I didn't even take time away from writing when I had my son, Oliver - I was writing from my hospital bed! [laughs] But no, it's great to take an hour away to just recentre sometimes.
Anyone that knows me knows that I'm a bit of a health nut - I'm quite into supplements and things - so, to be honest, I love knowing that my skin health is being maintained.
Skincare is a science, you know? It's great that Lesley can just look at your face and know exactly what it's in need of. That's always really refreshing.
My skin feels great, too. Makeup just seems to sit so much better.
I'd probably suggest that if you're starting to notice ageing creeping up on you, try for a facial before you go and do anything hasty.
There are so many natural options.
You would honestly be gobsmacked how far some professional know-how and a few good quality products will get you.
Regular facials have just become part of my beauty regiment, and I only wish I'd started sooner.
I could have had skin that felt like this for years!
'Consider' it? I've already got my next few appointments lined up.
I'd probably be better off setting up some kind of standing order! [laughs]
