All about… Breast Enhancement
At Harley Street Skin clinic, we don’t use a ‘one size fits all’ formula. Everything we do is a combined effort with our clients and if you are unhappy with your breasts, we can help. For some women, a standard ‘boob job’ isn’t the best procedure – it might be that there are other aspects of your breasts you’d like to change. Perhaps you feel your breasts need uplifting or they’ve lost firmness. It might be that you need repositioning of the nipple or reshaping – all are available. As with all our breast surgery, we only use the best surgeons for our procedures and we recommend coming in to see us for a free consultation. Call us on 0207 436 4441 for an appointment.
Breast enlargements involve putting an artificial implant under the breast tissue or under the chest muscle, behind the breast. The procedure takes place under general anaesthetic with an overnight stay afterwards at a hospital in central London.
The incisions are usually placed so that they are hidden in the natural crease underneath the breasts, but may also be placed within the armpit, or in the nipple area.
The incision will be closed with fine stitches that should leave a very discreet scar.
After surgery you will be asked to wear a sports bra or surgical garment to aid in the healing process and enhance your comfort. Most people feel a little sore after surgery and take pain relief for a few days afterwards. The breasts will soften and feel and look very natural after just a few weeks and we advise a break from work of between 7 and 10 days.
I’m not sure if I need a straight ‘boob job or if there is a different operation I need to correct my uneven breasts. How will I know?
Breast enhancement covers a wide variety of concerns our clients might have with their breasts. Re-shaping after weight loss, post-pregnancy or a shape you might have long been unhappy with for whatever reason – all of this can be addressed by the experts here at Harley Street Skin Clinic.
Our highly experienced, GMC registered surgeons will guide you in selecting the right procedure for your needs. Today, there are more options to choose from than ever before and our surgeons are the experts, using only the best saline and silicone implants to create a shape and result you can be happy with.
How long will I need to take off work?
We recommend taking between seven and ten days off work.
How long does it take from my first visit to being able to have my boob job?
It can take between four and six weeks from your first consultation. Occasionally we have last minute availability but ask about this when you come in to see us.
How long will it be before I can start exercising again after the operation?
Gentle exercise such as walking is find after a few days, however swimming, running or any vigorous gym workouts are better left until about four weeks after the operation.
How much will it cost?
Costs vary from £5,000 to £7,500 depending on the kind of procedure you and your surgeon decide on and they include the initial consultation, treatment and follow-up appointments. Please ring us for an initial consultation with one of our clinicians who will be able to advise on this. Tel: 0207 436 4441 or book a consultation via the website:
How quickly will my boobs look ‘normal’ after I’ve had the operation?
It will take around two weeks for the swelling to settle down and your breasts may feel extra ‘firm’ for a few weeks afterwards. At around six weeks, your breasts will have reached their new permanent ‘look’.
Our breast enlargements start from £5,000 with breast reductions and breast lifts starting at £6,000.
